Kate McClintock

Behavior Coach - humans

Pronouns: she/her

Kate was born in Dallas but has lived all across the country, most recently in Florida for medical school. Just before moving across the country to start school, she rescued her second dog, Rory. Rory began to show behavior issues, and several trainers (and years off her life) later, she met Beth.

While training Rory, Beth and Kate bonded over their mutual passion for the mental and emotional well being of pet parents, and Kate offered an idea- to volunteer as a coach solely for the human end of the leash. Combining her love of animals and love of psychology (Kate has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology), she began one on one coaching with other pet parents who were training with Beth. She truly believes that to help your pet, you must first help yourself- and finding that balance can be extremely tough!

Now, Kate leads one on one sessions as well as small groups on a variety of topics: how to prioritize your own mental health, how to create a balanced training/personal life schedule, managing expectations, and how to cope with having a behaviorally challenging dog.

When she isn’t volunteering with pet parents, she is busy attending school and working in the hospital. She also is the founder and president of the Neurodiversity Alliance, a student organization geared to enhance medical providers’ understanding of neurodiverse individuals and provide them better care.

She has two dogs, Kali (black), and Rory (tan).
